Default Refund Method Changed to Amazon Gift Card Now?

by Seller_mhgPmhwLhlvcV

I had my first return order as a buyer for a used computer part did not work from Amazon warehouse this month. I just got my refund this morning after return package was received by Amazon warehouse. However, the refund was issued in the form of Amazon gift card instead of my original credit card charge. My gift card balance was $0 when I made the purchase last week.

That’s weird. Amazon warehouse is different than Amazon.com, since they only sell used goods Amazon customers returned but rated them in acceptable to like new conditions. The one I bought was rated very good condition but did not work.

Why could not Amazon issue refund to original payment method? Does this happen to your customers?

King_Back… so now you have a credit card bill you have an Amazon gift card, & what you do with that?

I might think about contacting the credit card company…

Super sleazy…

Did you check the screen carefully when processing your return request?

There’s a choice there. I do not think the default is the card you used.

Refund by gift card is faster than getting a credit on your credit card. I have always had a choice, and always chose a gift card.
