Current items in FBA to variations

#1

IS it possible to make items that I have already sent to amazon, that are listed separately, into variations?

I have one item that is a 6lb bag and another of the same item that is a 12 lb bag but I created two separate listings…I am new and now understand how to make variations from new listings but don’t know how to make convert exsisting separate listings into variations of each other.

Yes it is possible.

#3

Yes. We’ve done this before (and continue to do so) using Amazon’s listing templates.

#4

Yes you can. Try the variation wizard

I have looked at it a little. It’s not the easiest thing to navigate, seems unnecessarily complicated. I really need to make some time to spend a few solid days on things.
Thanks for all of the help btw.

Any other tips or tricks on how to set it up are greatly appreciated.

I find the easiest way to create variations of existing ASIN’s is to

  • download the category template (advanced)
  • complete the variation section (usually pink section)
  • Select PartialUpdate in the Update Delete column (orange section)
  • Enter size (6lb or 12lb) in the Size column (green section)
  • Then upload the template

Inventory -> Add product

In the new created ASIN click on Variation tab. Pick the Variation Theme.

List 6lb and 12lb
In product ID type ASIN. Product ID type pick “ASIN”
