COVID-19: Update on prioritized shipment creation, new tool to check eligibility

#1

We are following up on our announcement of March 17. We continue to focus our available capacity on the highest priority products that customers need at this time, while also adhering to social distancing guidance within our fulfillment centers to keep our employees safe and healthy.

While we will continue prioritizing the products we can receive beyond April 5, we are now able to broaden the list. Given our constrained capacity, we are doing this on an item-by-item basis. We have updated the Restock Inventory page and Restock report in Seller Central so you can check which products are eligible for shipment creation. We consider many factors when determining eligibility, including high-demand products customers need now; current inventory levels and inventory in transit; fulfillment center capacity; and our ability to adhere to the latest health guidelines.

We will regularly update the Restock Inventory page and the Restock report as capacity allows us to receive additional products.

You can find answers to frequently asked questions on this Help page. Please note that Selling Partner Support does not have further guidance.

All of us at Amazon are working hard to restore regular operations, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hmm odd, one of my moderately popular products became eligible, but not my most popular one which is very similar.

I hope it’s not because the stats show zero sales on the most popular product because it went out of stock a few days after the shipping lock down.

Low FBA stock now. Its terrible.:sob::sob:

Doesn’t matter. Did you click on the link?

All my items are non-essentials, but they let me ship some. Check it out! Click on the links.

I took this that some products are now eligible before the 5th ahead of schedule, and all the time they are looking at what else is eligible, and come the 5th many more categories will be allowed to be shipped back in.

I still believe the 5th will come and we will be allowed to ship back in.

Have I missed something here?

Thank you.

even if they let you ship, who knows how long it will be in limbo. and, they may suddenly change their mind, rending your stock useless in an abyss. of course their own non essential brands will be exempt. this virus appears to be just what the doctor ordered for them

I am keeping positive on this - no one could have prepared for this - even amazon. Amazon will need products to sell as its own and other priority goods supply will dwindle. I think if anyone stands a chance of weathering this storm it is amazon, and as they are so important to us lets hope they continue to do what they do, and do EVERYTHING better than anyone else.

Stay safe.

I have shipments that arrived last week and they’re pretty quick in putting them in the shelves.

But of course, all depends on the virus.

#16

@Mel58, do you have any eligible items? I was hopeful when I received the FBA Replenishment Alert after almost 3 weeks, but when I check the Restock Inventory and Restock Report links (and generate the report), they bring no results. I was hoping to see the recently sold out items to be eligible to restock.

#17

It is all done by category based on amazon sales and demand data. I am hoping we will all be able to ship in some stuff come the 5th - my eligible products today were pet toys! who knew this would be priority now?

#18

I have 2 eligible items…
Don’t wait for any alert notification…
On seller central check the inventory planing…if you are eligible, they items will be there.

  1. prioritized shipment creation - Can someone please clarify whether this means that after 5th of April (the initial date Amazon have stated), we still would not be able to create inbound shipments? Or is there still a chance that after 5th of April, we could be able to send some shipments?

  2. Should we be thinking of using Seller fullfiled prime partners now? Maybe it’s a safer route to take.

Hope everyone reading this and their close ones are safe and healthy!

We have the same with shipments we have sent in

The problem most of our items are Candy and Amazon now shows them not being delivered to buyer till the end of April. How many people want to order candy that will not be delivered for 30 days?

So now we will be paying the storage fees on the items we did send in and Amazon will make even more money.

#21

Did you read it? That is not what it says at all.

#22

So if you click on the Restock Inventory Page and nothing comes up you are out of luck I am assuming?

#23

And when I try to generate the Restock Report it just says “error”. I have a feeling AMZ will continue to have to prioritize different products beyond the 5th.
