Covid-19 error message for FBA inbound shipments in Canada

What is changing?

Starting July 28, 2020, in the Canada marketplace, we are introducing ASIN-level quantity limits on products in the Fulfillment by Amazon program. The following operations will return a COVID19_LIMIT_EXCEEDED error code for products that exceed quantity limits:

  • CreateInboundShipmentPlan

  • CreateInboundShipment

  • UpdateInboundShipment

The error messages will also include the seller SKU (MSKU) of the affected products.

Which marketplaces are affected?

This change applies to the Canada marketplaces.

Who is affected?

Developers with applications in the Canada marketplace that create FBA inbound shipment plans and FBA inbound shipments are affected by this change.

What action is required?

If you have an application that is affected by this change, be sure to expose this error messages to sellers who attempt to create inbound shipment plans or inbound shipments containing non-priority products that exceed quantity limits.
