What is changing?
We are further limiting the range by which you can change the QuantityShipped value between calls to the CreateInboundShipment and the UpdateInboundShipment operations.
Starting July 27, 2020, if you call the UpdateInboundShipment operation specifying a QuantityShipped value that is different from the value that you specified with a previous call to the CreateInboundShipment the operation, the new QuantityShipped value must be: (1) no more than 5% greater than or less than the original QuantityShipped value, OR (2) no more than 6 units greater than or less than the original QuantityShipped value, whichever is more.
Previously, the second limit was "no more than 10 units greater than or less than the original QuantityShipped value".
Which marketplaces are affected?
This change applies to all marketplaces where the Fulfillment by Amazon program is available.
Who is impacted?
Developers with applications that use the UpdateInboundShipment operation to update the item quantity of an existing inbound shipment are affected by this change.
What action is required?
If you are affected by this change, be sure to update your application so that it displays and enforces the new limitation.
