Business Report Discrepencies
Hi, I am looking at two of the Business reports: Detail Page Sales and Traffic by Parent Item and Detail Page Sales and Traffic by Child Item.
If I understand correctly, the Parent Item should be the data of all of the child items combined. Yet when I add up the Sessions for the Child Items in that report, they are WAAAAY off. The Child Report displays 40% fewer Sessions than the Parent report. Sales numbers are off as well.
I have ensured that the dates requested between both of them are the same.
Since you can’t view the listing of a parent ASIN as far as I know I’m unsure where these extra sessions are coming from.

You can view a listing for a parent ASIN. If I select the parent product from my manage inventory screen it takes me to the listing page for the parent product. I then have to select a size to be able to purchase the product.

Even Googling it shows no results for the parent ASIN. I even Binged it too just because and came up with the same.
