Hi everyone, I’m having a big problem here!
All the unbranded products(when you check the “This product does not have a brand name” box, it becomes “Generic” automatically) that I have listed are claimed by an unknow company, the company claimed the brand “Generic”.
When I tried listing a new product today it says “5461: You may not create new ASINs for the brand: Generic”, I applied GNIT exemption and got approved, I have listed numbers of generic products without UPC, never had any problems until now. What do I do now? I’m scared that the unknow company will take control of all my listings?
Thank you folks!!

The same thing is happening to other seller’s listings that used Generic as brand, I’m scared now.
Anyone here?
The company name: DABLIZ GROUP INTERNATION TRADING LLC
Same has happened to us. Every product we had listed as generic now has DABLIZ GROUP INTERNATION TRADING LLC as the brand.
Yeaaaah same here, something seems broken today.
Wow - so basically Amazon let a 3rd party seller claim the brand “Generic”, thus taking over all listings that sellers checked did not have a brand name since that defaults to “Generic”. I don’t know - for some reason it’s kind of humorous that that somehow got through and got brand approved by Amazon.
I have notified Seller Support. Not sure if it will help, but I gave it a try. Maybe a moderator can help us if they are reading this. Many sellers having the same problem today.
What the…
All our listings are generic with exemption and just checked them and they now have
“Brand: DABLIZ GROUP INTERNATION TRADING LLC”
This is crazy!!!
THIS NEEDS TO GET FIXED ASAP
The definition “Generic” is an Amazon term and told to use. They need to change the term
and available/allowed field definitions to use something else or block it from being used/trade marked.
This is their mess.
WOW, WOW…Crazy
