I used to have an unrivaled amount of respect and passion for Amazon. Now, that has been reduced to utter disgust at best. Amazon has made it VERY clear to me that they do not care about me, my customers, or the integrity of mine or their business as a whole.
Let me give some context: I have a hijacker on my best selling listing. This listing is my own private label item and it’s unique and one of a kind. So, like many of you reading this, I did everything white hat and by the books, from A-Z (pun intended). I built a brand, put a TON of money, time and energy into making my dream a reality, all for it to be destroyed seemingly overnight by a hijacker who Amazon is basically doing nothing about.
I will say this, I don’t have my trademark YET because it takes a while in the states, which obviously means I’m not yet enrolled in brand registry. However, a seller still should NOT be allowed do what these hijackers are doing…
The thing that makes this even more repulsive is the fact that I have sent plenty of photo evidence to Amazon proving without a doubt that these hijackers are selling clear knockoff to the customers and yet, Amazon still drags their feet on the issue. These sellers are undercutting my listing, which is selling EXTREMELY well and at a very high velocity, knocking me out of the buy box. Then, selling fake knockoffs to my customers and the cherry on top, my listing gets the bad reviews. It’s pitiful, absolutely pitiful.
Imagine it, you put everything into something you are passionate about and believe in, a snake like this comes along and destoys it and Amazon basically just spits in your face and kicks you while you’re down. My advice: try starting a business somewhere else. Amazon is an amazing opportunity on paper but if this is the way a company conducts themselves when set company MOST CERTAINLY has the tools, manpower and MONEY to deal with these hijackers… You’re probably better off building your business elsewhere. At least you won’t have to worry about these hijackers selling fakes to your customers.
