Read onlyHi everyone
All my keywords were ranked organically in top 5-10, 2 weeks ago we updated images on the listing and all the keywords dropped to 16th position, and ever since they are not moving anywhere, they are strongly stock on 16 position, at the end of the first page.
The worst thing is, the brand name + main keywords they always were in top 1 with Amazon choice, these keywords also dropped to 16th position and lost amazon choice badge.
I tried to talk to someone from seller support but their knowledge about amazon is too limited.
May be some one else experienced this weird thing and have an idea what should we do?
Any update? Is your listing still stuck on 16th position on major Keywords?
Have you contacted seller support? This seems to be an amazon bug apparently!
I am having this same issue. I had the same issue back in January 2020 and solved it by contacting executive seller relations. We should all reach out to jeff@amazon.com (executive seller relations) and
Here is a link to my previous thread in Jan 2020:
Same issue.
My ASIN had TOP 1 position on major keyword for a year. Also had lowest BSR in niche all over Amazon. I drive tons of PPC on this keyword during 2 years.
In Nov 2019 ASIN was dropped to 16th position for major keyword. Stuck there for a long time. With rare and short returns to TOP 1 position.
All other keywords stayed on TOP 1-3 position. That helped me to stay number 1 on sales in niche according to BSR.
In Aug 2020 ASIN drops to 23th position on major keyword.
2d ago ASIN drops to 100+ position on most of keywords.
Result: -75% of sales
I got a response from executive seller relations about this. See attached.
When they say it’s not the same issue, they’re referring to a similar search problem I had back in Jan 2020 and got this response for that search issue.
So I think this is some kind of glitch…hasn’t been solved yet but I guess it should be soon.
@ja434650 you deserve the sincerest and most gratitude-fllled thank you! We’ve noticed ranks start to climb back to where they used to be, and while Seller Support was utterly unhelpful, it seems as though your contacting of Executive Seller Relations has made more progress than any of us could have done by ourselves.
For our collective education, would you mind again sharing how you contacted Executive Seller Relations? Was it the jeff@ email you’d previously commented about? And would you also be willing to share with us your precisely worded email to them so we can all learn?
We have had the same issue. Our product is normally ranked between #1 and #10 for the main 7 or 8 keywords in organic search results. Suddenly, we were ranked exactly #16 for all these keywords, including our own brand name. It was like a penalty preventing a rank higher than #16.
This happened several times in July & August. Each time it lasted a day or so, then seemed to fix on its own. We escalated to Jeff’s team, and they never figured out the cause.
If anyone has this issue again, please refer Seller Support to this thread. Having several examples might help them find a solution.
