Account Locked . We have detected suspicious activity on your account and have locked it as a precaution

by Seller_PXsXqP9tgCpl1

Hello. First of all, we need the help of experienced sellers. My younger brother founded LLC in America and started selling on Amazon after opening his account at Mercury Bank.

On March 21, he opened an Amazon business prime account with the e-mail address he used in the seller account to buy products for his friend.

(Note: A business prime account has never been opened before and no product has been ordered for customers.)

After ordering the product, got an e-mail from amazon about credit card verification, then the buyer and seller account was locked.

‘’ Account Locked . We have detected suspicious activity on your account and have locked it as a precaution.

We Have emailed you instructions on how to unlock you mail ‘’

We received this response for 10 days even though we sent all official bank documents.

''Hello,

Thank you for your response. Your account is currently under review by the department in charge. We will be reaching out to you via email in the next 24 to 48 business hours.

We ask you not to open new accounts because any new orders that you place may be canceled.

sincerely,

Account Specialist
Amazon.com’’

The last e-mail we received on March 30 is as follows… Could you please give us suggestions.

‘’'Hello,

After a review of your details, we have determined it is necessary to close your Amazon.com account. Any pending orders have been canceled.

We may not reply to further emails about this issue.

sincerely,

Account Specialist

Makes no sense to me.

When one opens a seller account, I think there must be a buyer account with the same email address.

Seems to me your brother provided conflicting information when he attempted to open another buying account, and looked like suspicious activity.

And his further communications further reinforced that conclusion.

If you received this type of message via e-mail, it may be a phishing scam that you got yourself involved in – causing the suspicious activity.
I have received this type of e-mail, and there was nothing wrong with my accounts, buyer or seller.

While Amazon will send you emails, there should be an available method to upload requested files in Performance<Account Health while undergoing account verification.

It sounds like your brother failed account verification.

Your brother continually sent in incorrect documents or more documents then what was requested, resulting in an automatic failure of the submission.

“we have determined it is necessary to close”

This bad. He will no longer be able to have an Amazon account.

So, his Prime buyer account was shut down?

What about your seller account?

Have you solved the issue? Our another account is experiencing the same issue. We have submitted all required documents more than two weeks ago but we're still waiting for the approval. No one from Amazon can help.
