About Amazon will only accept shipment confirmation that includes a CarrierCode value

Will Amazon start “VALIDATING” the value in CarrierCode on April 19th? We are sending a value right now and it doesn’t always match the list of carrier codes that Amazon has but it works. Will that still work on April 19th?

Reference : Updated: Starting April 19, 2021, Amazon will only accept shipment confirmation that includes a CarrierCode value

The text of what you posted states that come April 19, you need to use a valid code. What part of this do you not understand.

Soon after, the tracking number will also be validated.

I’m sorry but if the only change is the flag Optional to Required that doesn’t mean the validation will change. It doesn’t state that it needs to be a valid code since the only change is the flag one would think that the values we are sending now would still be accepted.

POST_ORDER_FULFILLMENT_DATA will change the CarrierCode field from optional to required.

Note: If the seller is using an unlisted carrier, they can use the CarrierCode value of ‘Other’ and then provide the carrier name in the CarrierName field.

#5

So where does it state the behavior if the value isn’t ‘Other’?

#6

Carrier code has a restriction on it’s values. Which is listed in the amzn-base.xsd.
