I’m looking for insights from anyone who has experience transferring an Amazon seller account to another sole proprietorship with a new owner.

How does the process work?

Does the new business need to create a separate Amazon account, or are the changes applied to the existing one?

How long does the transfer process usually take?

Is it even possible to change the account details from one sole proprietorship to a completely different sole proprietorship with a new owner?

Any guidance or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Since October, we've had a serious issue with almost 2000 units of inventory being held in fulfilment centre XBH6, which does not serve customers. This has led to many lines being out of stock and unavailable while the stock is "FC Processing" while held in this warehouse.

Despite opening numerous cases, requesting their escalation with the Senior Leadership Team and speaking to an "FBA UK Account Manager" at Amazon, we are no closer to moving stock out of this warehouse, some of which has now been there for 6 months.

Most of this is seasonal stock, and while our available stock sold out in FBA during Q4 this stock was never moved so we have missed out on selling our key lines during this time.

Now that we have to hold the stock until next year, we want to recall these units from FBA. However, as the units are also unavailable to recall, they remain stuck, and we have no options available to change this situation.

We have opened many cases and have been told the usual information that transhipment can take up to 30 days. We were also told there was a system update in January, which is now completed, but there has been no change to our inventory status.

Given that we have exhausted all options available to us to resolve this situation with Amazon over the last six months, we are posting here for advice on where to go from here.

Hi all,

I have had a customer return a fake mobile phone today.

I get the impression this isn't the customers first time doing this. They opened a return request stating 'the wrong item was sent', they have then returned a fake mobile phone using Royal Mail Special Delivery, presumably so they have proof of me receiving and it gives the impression that whatever they were returning, they wanted insured.

I have contacted Amazon support, reported abuse & opened a case informing Amazon of this fairly elaborate scam however i have recieved no help whatsoever. I am trying to get ahead of this because i already know for a fact that as soon as i deny refund, or partially refund, the customer will open an A-Z claim and i will no doubt lose the £714.99 i sold it for.

The phone the customer has returned is a fake device with a made up Serial number & IMEI. I have sent pictures of this device to Amazon but they haven't even acknowledged them.

I am unable to open a Safe-T claim and at present am unsure what options i have here, if any?

I am in two minds as to whether to report this to the police as theft. Though i know that doesn't get me my money back...

Any help is greatly appreciated.

We have downloaded the report, all Yodel deliveries do not have a Valid Tracking Number and no physical scan / attempt although they have ALL been delivered before Promised Delivery Date.

Consequently, our VTR is below target. We have been using Yodel for a long time without issue.

Is there a glitch on the system?

How are other sellers reporting this issue and was the resolution?
