FBA sold one of my $1000 new LEGO sets to a buyer in New Zealand. The buyer returned the item claiming shipping damage. Upon receiving the return, the FC changed from shipping damage to buyer damage. Apparently the buyer is always right except where shipping damage is concerned. It’s a convenient claim for Amazon as it leaves me holding the bag and no shipping claim required from their side. However, this is where the problem begins. The FC center stuck my return into temporary on-site storage while it waits for space in the warehouse to free up. I can’t even do a removal request to inspect my item as it shows as “not available.” My item has been stuck in this purgatory for 2 months now. And they’re charging me storage fees to keep it there! Does anybody have experience with this? How long can they keep my returned item stuck in their temporary storage?
