MWS API credential application

Hi All,
I need to apply MWS API credential, Amazon has replied me that I applied successfully for SP API, but not MWS API credential. Do I need to wait a little more time or MWS is not available for application now? Thanks a lot!

The MWS API is the old one that has been around a long time and is expected to still be around for a long time.
SP API is the new one that is just getting started and is replacing the MWS API over the long term. It seems Amazon is directing new developer applications towards the new SP API because that is the one they want used for new development.
