Date range reports not agreeing with business reports

When I run date range report (reports, payments, Date Range Reports,) and compare the sales figures with Business reports (Reports, business reports, Detailed Page Sales and traffic by child), the total sales figures never agree. I realize the business report sales does include any sales tax collected. Has anyone had any luck in reconciling these two reporting features?

Business reports page do not include cancellations. Just orders placed (and include the ones pending). So you’ll have a discrepancy between that and the actual sold and shipped orders.
It used to drive me insane until I realized this!
